In Memory of 1st SGT Timmy Millsap

Thursday, April 26, 2007, 03:54 PM CST [General]

Yesterday was April 25, 2007.  On April 25, 2005, my son's humvee was attacked near Baghdad by an IED.  He was seriously ingured and his driver was seriously burnt.  Unfortunatly, 1st SGT. Timmy Millsap didn't make it out of the humvee alive.  On this anniversary of the attack, I want to send well wishes to his family and loved ones.  Also to "Matt".  Thanks for being there for my son.  Blessed be to all that have been effected by this war.        ~Norma

    Saturday!

Saturday, March 10, 2007, 04:58 PM CST [General]

I spent the morning in Greenville!  Feeder calf sale there!  I love going to the sale barn and seeing all the animals!  I missed the feeder pig/sheep/goat sale yesterday!  But seeing all the calves today almost made up for it!

Willow is still a little afraid of them up close, so she was "JUST A LIL SQUIRMY" today and since my back is out still.  I'm a VERY sore.  I've been to the chiropractor several times lately...  He's thinking herniated disk!  OMG's!  Oh well, we will cross that bridge when it comes.

Well duty calls!  My lil pagan princess beckons.  If I don't hurry, she will make me regret it I'm sure.  Blessed be to all!            ~Norma

    An Incredible Full Moon!

Monday, March 5, 2007, 09:48 AM CST [General]

Blogging... It is supposed to be you talking to a "friend"... Well here goes nothing!

My back is out, so I didn't get to enjoy the full moon like I usually do. On the way home from Pana last night, the moon was incredible! Around 7 o'clock it was up over the horizon, huge and the most intense orange! We were on our way home and it was directly lined up with the end of the road we were traveling on. It seemed so close. I was sure if we went fast enough we could pop over the hill and land on it! Unfortunately, an hour later the moon had moved back to it's normal distance from earth (at least appearance wise) and that incredible orange was gone. Of course it was still a beautiful site, but not quite as breath taking as it had been just a mere hour earlier.
Willow, my lil Pagan Princess, slept through the whole thing. Oh Well! She is not quite 2 yet, so she still has a few years to appreciate nature's perfection!
